Need a place to relax at Hollywood Studios? We have a few favorite places where you can relax in the shade or perhaps even doze off for a few minutes.

The area outside Sunset Showcase

Just past Aerosmith’s Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster you’ll find a fairly large courtyard outside the Sunset Showcase. This currently houses the attraction Club Disney, which is a dance club geared towards the younger crowd (by this we mean anyone under 7). Other than the random cranky or crying child (or adult) this is a very secluded area that’s a perfect place to relax at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. 20151203_124433-1024x576

Backlot Express or ABC Commissary

Both of these eateries slow down considerably after 2pm. While you may not be able to catch 40 winks in a hard plastic chair, both restaurants offer many shaded, cool areas for you to park a stroller and at least let your little ones nap. It helps that you can grab a snack and a cool drink while you take a quick break. img_9386-e1434537903786

Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream

This is also a great place to cool off, even if a nap isn’t on your mind. A 15 minute movie is shown in the back of the attraction and the seats are fairly comfy. The movie usually plays on a loop, so you are able to sit for longer if you’d like as the theater is rarely crowded.891

The walking path outside the park (between Hollywood Studios and EPCOT center)

This walking trail is a little over a mile, mostly shaded and has multiple benches along the way on which to relax. It can be a nice break just to be outside the parks for a bit and the 20(ish) minute stroll is enough to entice the little ones to nap.IMG_9578

We have a few other favorite places to relax around the Walt Disney World Resort including Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Don’t forget to check them out depending on which park you plan to visit during these sweltering summer days.
