While most people don’t think of Walt Disney World as a destination for thrill rides, there are a few mixed in for adventure seekers.
Splash Mountain is a true Disney Classic. Following the heartfelt tale of Brer Rabbit, you will think you are safe and sound tucked inside the cozy mountain. But watch out for unexpected drops! The 52.5 foot drop into the Briar Patch will have you screaming for more, but good luck staying dry!
Rock N Roller Coaster
What happens when you score sweet backstage passes to an Aerosmith concert? Your “stretch limo” screams at speeds up to 60mph, and swoops you through traffic. This one and a half minute ride includes two roll over loops and a corkscrew, that will leave you screaming for more.
Tower of Terror
Step into the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel, you are about to enter The Twilight Zone. As you board the service elevator you think you are in for just a haunted tour. That is until the doors open revealing you are 13 stories above the park, right before you drop to your demise at 39mph.
Space Mountain is one of the original Disney Thrill rides. This Tomorrowland coaster zips you through the dark on a thrilling ride through deep space. Watch out for wayward comets and migrant meteors as you ascend the 180 ft mountain. Make sure you are snug in your rocket for this high speed futuristic adventure.
This coaster through the icy peaks of the Himalayas takes you through the towering Mt. Everest. The apex of the summit will give you a great view of the entire Walt Disney World Resort. The broken track will leave you questioning what strange creature has been causing all the destruction. You are sure to find out as you race backwards through the mountain and learn that the legend of the Yeti is real.
