Maybe it has been swirling in the back of your mind for awhile now. Should I or should I not invest in a Walt Disney World Annual pass? You can guess which side of the fence we are on in this debate. Besides the obvious perk of unlimited access to Walt Disney World we have come up with 5 awesome reasons to be a Disney Annual Passholder.
That’s right FREE! Annual passholders get complimentary parking in the Disney Parks when they visit. This can save you a lot of money if you aren’t staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. With parking currently at $20 a day it can quickly add up on multiple day trips.
Discounts on Dining and Merchandise
Disney Annual Passholders are currently eligible for 20% off Disney merchandise and 10% off food and nonalcoholic beverages at select table-service restaurants. You can even get your discount on merchandise using the Disney Parks Shopping App. The benefits extend to special discounts at several merchants at Disney Springs, and merchandise purchased at the two Disney golf shops on property.
Exclusive Park Merchandise
Exclusive Disney Annual Passholder merchandise is available during special events for official card carriers. Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, The Flower and Garden Show, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party all feature a commemorative T shirt. These are only available to valid card holders and can be purchased during the actual event, or on the Disney Parks Shopping App. Some festivals will also include a free gift for passholders who visit the event on multiple occasions
Probably one of our favorite features of owning an annual pass is FREE Photopass. Stop at any of the hundreds of Photopass stops in the Walt Disney World resort and have your photo taken. Your photos will show up in your My Disney Experience app, without that annoying watermark. All photos are available for you to download for up to a year after the date it was taken. This includes photos taken on attractions, and even some random photo booths scattered around the Walt Disney World Property.
You Don’t Have To See Everything At Once
Spend a day discovering new countries in Epcot’s World Showcase. Ride Space Mountain over and over. Watch your favorite parade. There really are endless possibilities on how you can spend your time with a Disney Annual Pass. While it is fun to schedule your day and make FastPasses, it can also be great to have no plans. With an annual pass there is no reason to rush because you have 365 days to discover Disney.
While we understand that a Disney Annual Pass isn’t for everyone, if you are planning multiple trips in a 12 month period, or you spend 7-8 days total at the parks per year it may be worth your investment. What is the first thing you would do if you were a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder?
